Getting to the resort with your gear

Salzburg is the closest airport to the Ski Amade resorts: Zell am See, Saalbach and Flachau are around an hour and a half, Kaprun much the same, Hintertux closer to two hours over the Gerlos pass. A railway line runs from the city to Zell am See, but you reach it by bus from the terminal, and ski bags have to be handled twice before you board. Shared shuttles leave on fixed departures and count each item of luggage separately. On a private transfer you pay for the vehicle, and the ski bags travel inside it at no extra charge.
