Getting to the resort with your gear
Innsbruck sits in the valley the resorts open off, so the drive is short: the Stubai and Axamer Lizum in around half an hour, Soelden, Ischgl and St Anton in one to one and a half hours. Trains reach St Anton and the Zillertal from the main station, but that means a bus into town first, then the platform, then a change, with ski bags lifted on and off each time. The scheduled buses that serve the resorts run to a timetable the flight has to fit. A private transfer is booked by the car rather than by the person, so ski bags do not change the price.
